Maseru, Aug. 01 — As tributes pour in for Bokang ‘Moleli fondly known as Malome Vector, the Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane on Thursday also visited the deceased’s family in Mangopeng Roma to pass his condolences.
Malome Vector died in a car crash in Free State on July 24 along with two other artists.
His entourage included Ministers of Sports and Arts Mr. Motlatsi Maqelepo, Communications Ms.Nthati Moorosi, Gender who is also Member of Parliament for Maama constituency Mr. Pitso Lesaoana and Member of Parliament Mr. Thabo Maretlane.
In his remarks Mr. Matekane said that they are all saddened by the death of this young man especially as they expect the youth to be the ones to take over and lead the country.
He however said that God takes away the young ones because he also has better plans for them.
He indicated that as Christians they know that God is not at fault saying therefore they have to accept that Malome Vector is the chosen one.
He commended the deceased for hoisting Lesotho’s flag high in the entertainment industry saying that they are thankful and grateful.
On the other hand, Mr. Lesaoana said that this is a great loss not only to the family but the community and country as a whole. He said that it is said that he died while on the journey to make a living.
He added that they were still expecting good things from the deceased.
Moreover, Minister Maqelepo noted that they are saddened by Vector’s death who was proudly and outstandingly not ashamed of his identity.
He said that the deceased loved Lesotho and was proud of being a Mosotho.
A 32 year old Malome Vector who was last born in a family of four is survived by his wife, daughter, his parents as well as two brothers and a sister.
He will be laid to rest on August 10 in Roma.
