Maseru, Sept. 11 — The ongoing police operations that are aimed at addressing issues associated with drunken driving seem to be receiving positive feedback from part of the nation.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Wednesday,Mr. Mathai Molumo said that since the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) has started posting on their social media page, the rate of drunken driving seems to be lowering in Maseru town especially on weekends.
He stated that this is also evident in the lowered rate of road accidents that occurs in the roads of Maseru due to drunken driving.
Mr. Molumo indicated that though there are still those that still take chances with their drunken driving behaviours, the hope is that eventually, such will be addressed as long as the Police keeps up with the ongoing strategy.
