Berea, Jan 28 — Berea police station has reaffirmed their commitment to make public spaces safe for everyone by clamping down on all non-complaint liquor traders who serve alcohol to underage children.
This follows the festive season holidays which sparked a public outcry regarding alcohol abuse witnessed among the underage children in some parts of Berea district.
According to the officer in command of Berea Police Stations, Senior Superintendent (Snr. Supt.) Kabelo Halahala they have as well noted with concern the underage drunkard and as a result this year they vow to abruptly deal with such children who will be seen in public spaces with alcohol.
Snr. Supt. Halahala reiterated that they are going to act harshly on liquor traders who as well sell alcohol to the underage, in this regard he issued a stern warning to the parents to refrain from sending their children to taverns with the aim to get them some beer. . .
