WORLD VISION HANDS OVER REFURBISHED CLASSROOMS

Maseru, Jan.28 — World Vision Lesotho has on Tuesday handed over two refurbished classrooms of Monts’i primary school in Likolobeng Community Council under Thaba-Putsoa Constituency.

The two classrooms roofing were blown away by wind in 2018 leaving lessons to be conducted in unroofed classrooms.

In his remarks, Maseru District Administrator Mr. Ts’epo Lethobane expressed gratitude to World Vision saying what they have done is a tremendous work towards the education of Basotho children.

He said that a school is a school by roll of learners and teachers therefore called on parents and guardians to ensure that children go to school especially as it is free.

He urged the community to take care of the property.

At the same event World Vision Mrs. ‘Maseisa Ntlama said that they are a child focused organization hence they felt the need to extend a hand by re-roofing and refurbishing classrooms.

She indicated that disasters if not prevented, they will result in poverty, abuse including child marriage.
