POLICE REMIND MEMBERS OF THEIR ROLE, RESPONSIBILITIES

Maseru, Feb 10 – The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) have  warned their members of their role and responsibility as the members of the police in the country ahead of the planned nationwide demonstrations by the Coalition of Lesotho Public Employees (COLEPE) on February 23.

In their statement released on Saturday through  Public Relations Officer Senior Superintendent Kabelo Halahala, section 66 (2) (a) of the police act of 1998, spells out clearly that members of the police should not be members of any workers trade unions or side with any members associated with such unions…
