POLICEWOMEN’S NETWORK CRACK DOWN ON SCAMMERS

Berea, Aug 12—In celebration of African Women’s month, Berea Policewomen’s Network has launched awareness campaigns about criminal syndicates who commit fraud and scam  people’s money.

This was disclosed by the head of Berea Policewomen’s Network and Child and Gender Protection Unit (CGPU) Inspector (Insp.) Lieketseng Makokong when unveiling their planned activities during an interview with LENA on Tuesday.

Ins Makoko said it has come to their attention that people from rural areas always fall victim to criminals who deliberately scam their money with fake text messages (SMS’s)…
