Qacha’s Nek, April 21 — Three Qacha’s Nek horses named Thethankosi, Lesupatsela and Lechaena took part in the 2nd edition of Ramela Foundation Moshoeshoe’s Day Horse Race 2026 that was held on the 18th April 2026 at Peka.
Fortunately, Lechaena came 3rd on no: 6. And 5th on no: 7 Race, with Lesupatsela obtaining 4th place on no: 5, this marks their first win in this race.
In an interview with one of the horse owners, Mr. Motlatsi Pheku explained that for them this is a huge win and they stand to get position one should they be able to invest in an experienced jockey.
“We really have to invest in our jockeys because they should understand the concept of horse departure, which gives each horse an opportunity to be NO1.” Stated Mr Pheku.
He also added that they really have improved so far since this is their first win.
