QUEEN SPEAKS ON CHIDRENS’ WELFARE

Maseru, Oct. 03 – Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso says, as a champion of vulnerable children, her aspiration is to protect the rights and welfare of children, not only in Lesotho but across the African Continent.

The Queen said this when officially opening the 44th Ordinary Session of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) in Maseru. This she said follows the 43rd session that was held previously.

She appreciated the work of the committee that included continental study on status of children with disabilities, urging all to work in solidarity to disseminate and popularise this important study, implement best practices and address challenges of children with disabilities…
