Leribe, Mar. 09 — Her Majesty Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso took part in three-day Moshoeshoe’s walk which started at Menkhoaneng in Leribe on Thursday.
This is the 16th edition of Moshoeshoe’s walk.
Addressing the participants, the Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane said the walk is historic to Basotho nation and the world at large.
He said next year will be 200 years since 1824 when the late King Moshoeshoe I left Menkhoaneng together with his people.
Additionally, he said every participant in this walk should bring along five more people to celebrate the walk.
“This year you are about 600 and next year we are expecting 3000 people,” he stated.
