RAMOHAPI WETLAND HAS A POTENTIAL TO SERVE COMMUNITY WITH ADEQUATE WATER 

Mafeteng, March 20 — Anticipatory Action beneficiaries at Tsanatalana Community Council says they have selected wetland area within the area to carry out light works of constructing drinking ponds for both their livestock and members of the community as the area has the potential of reliable water sources even during dry seasons.  

Presenting to the District Disaster Management Authority and World Food Programme mission on Wednesday on behalf of the working team Mrs. Mathapelo Mat’soha said the area has a capability of providing different residents from different villages with water during dry seasons .

Mrs. Matsóha also highlighted that they also do their washing at the area hence their agreement together with their local authority that light work should be carried out in the area, requesting the mission to provide them with resources that would sustain their spring as now they have used stone leaving it unprotected during heavy rains. . .
