RELATIVES GRANTED M200 BAIL EACH

Qacha’s Nek, Feb.16 — The District Magistrate Court Senior Magistrate Ts’eliso Bale has granted Mr. Kopano Kotsoana (71), Mr. Mokhethi Mohapi (27) and Mrs. Nobabile Kotsoane (48) of Ha-Mohlapiso, Ha-Nts’eketsi a M200 bail each for illegal possession of a horse.

The said accused persons were charged with contravening the provisions of Section 13 (3) (d) read with 14 (a) of the Stock Theft Act No.4 of 2000 as amended by Act No.5 of 2003.

The court heard that on February 15, 2024, the trio in unison were found in possession of a horse but failed to give a satisfactory account of that possession upon demand by the police thereby did commit an offense.

Senior Magistrate Bale gave them bail on conditions that they do not interfere with state witnesses, not hamper police investigations, attend remands and stand trial to finality. . .
