Maseru, Aug. 08 – – – The Rotary Club of Maloti will officially hand over a fire truck to the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) on Tuesday in a gesture of international goodwill and support for emergency services.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Monday, the Club President Mrs. Yande Sikazwe-Mothae said that the donation is made possible through collaboration with the Rotary Club of Yokohama, Japan and aims to strengthen Lesotho’s emergency response capabilities.
She indicated that this fire truck is a symbol of international friendship and shared commitment to enhancing safety in communities.
The truck will be assigned to the Maputsoe Police Station to bolster its emergency response resources.
