SADC TO HOST 31ST CLIMATE OUTLOOK FORUM 

Maseru, Aug.28—The Southern African Development Community (SADC), in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Zambia and with financial support from the European Union (EU) under the Intra-ACP Climate Services and related Applications (ClimSA) Programme, will convene the 31st Southern Africa Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-31), the Climate Experts Meeting (CEM), and the Validation Workshop of the SADC Multi-Hazard Early Warning System from September 01 to 11 in Lusaka, Republic of Zambia. 

These high-level engagements aim to strengthen regional collaboration in disaster preparedness and enhance the management of weather- and climate-related risks. 

Aligned with the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) and the SADC Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan (RISDP) 2020–2030, which emphasise environmental sustainability, the engagements will focus on strategies to strengthen climate services for poverty reduction, food security, and disaster preparedness…AT/BM
