Maseru, Sept. 02 – The seventh meeting of the first session of the Eleventh Parliament is set to take place on September 09, following the winter recess, the Clerk of the Senate, Advocate Tséliso Molise, has confirmed.
Adv. Molise explained that the break allows Senators to return to their communities and attend to community matters, ensuring they remain connected with the people they represent and serve.
He noted that the schedule for the reopening is in line with Standing Order Number 14(2) of the Senate.

The upcoming session will see Senators resume deliberations on legislative bills, review government reports, and continue oversight of national projects and programs. Parliamentarians are expected to focus on key issues affecting Lesotho, including economic development, social services, and public accountability.
Advocate Molise encouraged all members to come prepared for constructive debate and to maintain a strong commitment to the legislative responsibilities that support the country’s democratic processes.
