MOHALE’S HOEK, July 31 – The 11th Parliament through its Social Cluster committee is engaged in rooted discussions about empowering them and incorporating their respective views, aspirations and opinions in the National Youth Development Bill of 2024 on Thursday.
Chairperson of Parliamentary committees Mr. Mokhothu Makhalanyane pointed out that the bill enacted by the Parliament and it is meant for acting to establish youth institutional structures, providing for their functions and programs towards a meaningful youth development in Lesotho and for related matters.

Mr. Makhalanyane further articulated that the 11th Parliament is liberal and values the sentiments of youth and other relevant stakeholders in drafting the bill through means of consultations, public hearings and civic engagement.
He said it is important to accommodate and respect the opinions of representatives’ voices since they speak on behalf of the rest of other youth in the district. . . .
