SR LEADER ON CROSS BENCH

Maseru, Sept. 19 — The Leader of Socialist Revolutionaries (SR) Adv. Teboho Mojapela says he is on the cross bench although he did not cross physically in the House on Friday.

This, he said in an interview with the Agency after the Speaker of the National Assembly Mr. Tlohang Sekhamane read before the House a letter he wrote in February  requesting to change the seat from opposition to cross bench.

” I will still sit on the opposition side even though I remain neutral as both the government and opposition are the same  whatsapp group” he said.

Asked why he did not cross the floor physically when expected to do so as is always the case, Adv. Mojapela said that behaviour had to begin with him.

Also interviewed was former Member of Parliament and Analyst on issues of National Assembly Mr Sello Maphalla who said SR Leader is forced by law to sit on the cross bench if his request, which was conveyed in the form of a letter, was read in the House…
