STAKEHOLDERS WRAP UP CLIMATE CHANGE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Qacha’s Nek, Dec. 13 — The World Food Programme (WFP) concluded a week-long climate change awareness campaign across Qacha’s Nek, visiting five communities.

The communities visited include Ha Noosi, Matebeng, Mosaqane, Sehlabathebe and Qhoalinyane to build knowledge and resilience against the growing climate crisis.

The initiative, part of the Improving Adaptive Capacity of the Vulnerable and Food Insecure Populations in Lesotho (IACoV) project, aimed to educate residents on climate change adaptation, risk management and the strategic use of climate information.

Organized in collaboration with the District Disaster Management Team (DDMT), the campaign aligned with Lesotho’s National Climate Change Communication Strategy (NCCCS) to equip communities with tools to address local challenges exacerbated by climate change.
