GERMAN PRESIDENT MEETS WITH DPM

Maseru, Dec. 14 — The President of Germany Mr. Frank- Walter Steinmeier says his visit in Lesotho demonstrates willingness to deepen further the existing relations between the two countries.

This he said in his statement during a round table meeting which brought together  the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) , the Ministers of Trade, that of Foreign Affairs, Transport, as well as the Minister of Energy amongst others including government dignitaries.

Mr. Steinmeier said relations between the two countries are characterized by trust, saying they learn from each other and face challenges together.

He mentioned such challenges as climate change, promotion of democracy and economic development , saying unity of Lesotho remains an inspiration.
