Maseru, Aug. 09 — Multitudes of Basotho including the community of Thaba-Bosiu gathered at the Thaba-Bosiu Cultural Village which is situated at the foothills of King Moshoeshoe I fortress to celebrate the 200 years of existence of the Basotho nation
While stating the purpose of this event, the organiser Mrs. ‘Malichaba Lekhaba said that the purpose of this event is to revive the Basotho culture and practices.
She stated that the aim is to also grow the celebration into a festival that will be held in Thaba-Bosiu which is aimed at improving the tourism and hospitality sector which in turn is aimed at being of benefit to the community of Thaba-Bosiu.
Mrs. Lekhoaba however mentioned that as of next year, the aim is to revive the Morija Arts and Cultural Festival and name it the Thaba-Bosiu Arts and Cultural Festival which will now be held in Thaba-Bosiu.
