Quthing, Sept. 26 — The District Nutrition Sensitive Platform Committee was revived at a one-day meeting organized by the Smallholder Agriculture Development Project (SADP), attended by key stakeholders in nutrition.
The committee aims to integrate nutrition-sensitive interventions across departments such as agriculture, health, and education to combat malnutrition in the district. Its focus includes planning and implementing nutrition improvement activities, mobilizing resources, sharing expertise, and promoting climate resilient food production.
Addressing attendants at the event, District Agricultural Officer (DAO) Mr. Phamotse Maboee commended the active participation of stakeholders, which contributed to the successful revival of the District Nutrition Sensitive Platform Committee.
He emphasized the importance of sustainable planning and implementation, resource mobilization, and skill-sharing to effectively address malnutrition.
