TWO MORE SEXUAL OFFENSE CASES REPORTED

Qacha’s Nek, April 18 — The district’s Child and Gender Protection Unit (CGPU) office has this week recorded two more sexual assault cases among children.

Speaking to the Agency on Thursday, CGPU Officer, Police Constable (PC) Thaabe Moalosi revealed that investigations will begin tomorrow following today’s report of a 14 year-old child of ‘Melikane who was sexually molested by an unknown man in the presence of her sibling aged five.

According to PC Moalosi, the victim’s report reveals that on the fateful day, the suspect forcefully entered their homestead where she and her sibling were sleeping.

Despite the presence of the child who was visibly rattled by the presence of the suspect in their room, he proceeded to have unconsented sexual intercourse with her sister.
