Maseru, Oct.04–The United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Amina J. Mohammed will visit Lesotho from Friday representing the UN Secretary-General at Lesotho’s bicentenary celebrations.
During her visit which is expected to end on Sunday, Ms Mohammed will participate in key national events, including high-level meetings, field visits and a youth dialogue, reinforcing the UN’s continued partnership with Lesotho.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency the Communications Officer Office of the UN Resident Coordinator Ms. Reitumetse Russell said Ms. Mohammed will represent the UN Secretary-General at Lesotho’s Bicentenary Celebrations, marking 200 years since the Kingdom’s founding where she is expected to deliver remarks highlighting the long partnership between the United Nations and Lesotho and the shared commitment to sustainable development, peace, and prosperity…
