UNAVAILABILITY OF JUDGE DELAYS TRIAL

Maseru, Nov.07—A case in which Former Commander of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) Tlali Kamoli together with four army members are accused of their alleged involvement in the bombings which occurred in 2014 failed to proceed as scheduled due to unavailability of presiding judge Justice Charles Hungwe.

Unavailability of Justice Hungwe has recently affected progress in two of the high-profile cases before him. The cases comprise one in which four police officers are accused of killing their colleague Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng who died in 2016 as well as another in which some members of the army are accused of killing Brigadier Maaparankoe Mahao who died on June 25 2015 at Ha Lekete in Mokema. ..
