WAVE OF SCHOOL BURGLARIES HITS QACHA’SNEK

 

Qacha’sNek, Aug. 17—The quiet town of Melele was shaken on Saturday as the community woke up to a series of disheartening break-ins at United and St. Joseph’s Primary Schools. 

The morning revealed a grim scene: classrooms, and offices had been ruthlessly ransacked. 

Locks were broken, burglar-proof doors were cut open, and wooden doors were severely damaged. Inside, lockers and office supplies were scattered in disarray.

 Disturbingly, footprints left behind by the culprits were the only clue to their identity.

Mr. Thabang Mokotso, a teacher at United Primary School, shared the distressing news with the Agency, noting that the full extent of the theft was still unknown as the principal was unavailable during their initial assessment…
