WOMAN IN COURT FOR ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM 

Mafeteng, April 16 — The Mafeteng Magistrate Court has sentenced a 40 year old ‘Marelebohile Ntseki of Boleka Mahareng to two years imprisonment or pay a fine of M400 for illegal possession of a firearm.

Half of the sentence was suspended on conditions that the convict does not commit the same within a period of one year.

According to the evidence presented before court the convict on February 24, 2024 was found possessing an illegal 7.65 pistol bearing a serial number of C-267383 with 9 by 7.65 mm rounds.    

It showed that the convict was arrested by the Lesotho Mounted Police Service Officials on the way to the police after receiving a call ordering her to report herself at the Mafeteng Charge Office together with the mentioned.
