WORLD VISION LESOTHO OBSERVES WORLD TOILET DAY

Mokhotlong Nov. 21 — Toilet is a place for peace, dignity and protection from diseases such as cholera for everyone.

This was said by the Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) Technical Programme Manager Mr. Kabelo Tseetsana from World Vision Lesotho headquarters in Maseru when speaking at the event to observe World Toilet Day held at Libibing Primary School within the Menoaneng Community Council in Mokhotlong on Thursday.

Mr. Tseetsana said in the past years, the organisation together with other stakeholders have been focusing on WASH activities leaving behind an important aspect of toilets when creating awareness of the public on WASH issues to promote protection of water and environment.

He said everybody needs to have access to safe use of toilets in order to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 which talks about access to safe and affordable drinking water and sanitation for all by 2030.
