Qacha’s Nek, May.07 — The District Child Protection Team (DCPT) will on May 15 revive Matebeng and Whitehill Community Council Child Protection Teams (CCCPTs).
This decision was reached by DCPT members on Tuesday during a refresher training on CCCPT roles and responsibilities aimed at strengthening child protection.
The training followed a requisition by members on April 30, meeting intended to resuscitate CCCPTs as a way of mitigating child abuse crisis in the district after the revelation by Ms. Ntemana Molise, District Child Protection Team (DCPT) Capacity Strengthening Coordinator that child negligence and sexual offense cases are on the rise. . .
