Berea, March 13 — Learners from Pulane Primary and Pulane Secondary schools at Ha Mokhameleli have resumed attending classes after water levels in the nearby river dropped, allowing them to cross.
In an interview with the Agency on Tuesday, Ha Mokhameleli councilor, Mr. Malefetsane Pitso said the community has still not received any assistance to repair the damaged bridge.
He explained that learners are now able to go to school because the river is no longer flowing heavily, making it possible for them to cross.
Mr. Pitso added that the community continues to wait for the relevant authorities to intervene and repair the bridge.
The bridge connects the Pulane area to Pulane Primary and Pulane Secondary schools and was destroyed by heavy rainfall earlier this year, preventing learners from attending school when the river was flowing strongly.
