PROSECUTION CLOSES CASE

Maseru, Sept. 05 — The prosecution  in a case in which nine members of the army including Former Army Commander Lieutenant General Tlali Kamoli are charged with the murder of Maaparankoe Mahao, has on Friday closed its case.

The prosecution closes its case after leading over 40 witnesses. 

The last witness to testify in this matter is Inspector Lebohang Motanya who was part of an investigation team into the matter. He took the stand after the wife of the deceased ‘Mamphanya Mahao.

After the prosecution closed its case, the dence applied for discharge of the accused and timelines were set on when to file and exchange papers on the application.
