Maseru,Dec.06—The accused in a case in which four police officers are accused of the murder of Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng have on Wednesday in a trial within trial insisted that they were tortured while under police custody.
Legal representative for some of the accused in the matter Advocate Zwelakhe Mda told Senior Inspector Mpho Mohoang , who was one of the investigation team into the matter, during cross-examination, that the accused were subjected to serious inhumane torture. He indicated that the accused will testify that during their incarceration they never had civil discussion with any member of the investigation team.
