Maseru, April 15 — The Member of Parliament for Abia constituency under the flag of Revolution For Prosperity (RFP), Mr. Thuso Makhalanyane has cried foul of the manhandling that he received from the police officers that arrested him at a roadblock in Lithabaneng Maseru on Sunday.
While giving details on this matter, Mr. Makhalanyane said that he was pulled over by one police officer at a roadblock where he was told that one of the officers at that place requested to see him.
He said that he boarded off his car and attended to the call of the officer which he said he was told that his car did not have a rear number plate on which he mentioned that he did not place it as the plate number holder had broken and he was planning to replace it the following day as shops were closed.
He indicated that it is from there that the officer which he mentioned by name twisted his arm and smashed his phone before he was thrown into the police bakkie which drove off to the Maseru Central Charge office.
