Maseru, April. 16 — If Lesotho is to achieve National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) II review extension priority one in line with agriculture, the need to invest more on it is vital.
These are the views of Lesotho Former Ambassador, Chief Thesele ‘Maseribane when sharing his vision in expanding and promoting agriculture, particularly amongst the youth.
He explained that while the 2025/2026 presents a gloomy future for youth, this is an area that can give them hope seeing possibilities of smart agriculture.
Smart agriculture or farming is said to be an adoption of advanced technologies and data driven farm operations to optimise and improve sustainability in agricultural production using the latest technologies, things which youth admire most. AM/TL
