BEREA POLICE CRACK DOWN ON STOCK THEFT SYNDICATES

Berea, Jan 23 — The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) in Berea district has managed to crack down on stock theft syndicates and made a mass discovery of stolen livestock at the cattle post of a 43-year-old suspect from Ha-Tabola, Mosalemane.

Berea District Commissioner of Police (DISPOL) Senior Superintendent (Snr. Supt.) Kabelo Halahala confirmed the development during an interview with LENA on Thursday.

Snr. Supt. Halahala said during one of their crime prevention operations conducted last week, Mapoteng police managed to discover the stolen 31 cows, 106 sheep,156 goats  while there were only seven donkeys.
