Berea, Mar.27- Primary and post-primary school principals in Berea have elected a new district committee tasked with strengthening leadership, coordinating educational programmes, and improving teaching and learning across schools in the district.
In an interview on Friday, the Acting District Manager in the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), Mrs ’Matholoa Sello, said the committee will serve a three-year term.
She said the committee comprises 10 members and is led by Mr Seboka Lephuruhloanana as president. Mrs ’Matšepang Mokorotloane was elected vice president, while Mrs ’Malimpho Semoli will serve as secretary.
Mrs Sello further stated that Mr Sebaka Mphale is the vice secretary, Mr Letampu Mafaesa the treasurer, and Mrs Mphanya Mphanya the public relations officer responsible for marketing and fundraising. Mr German Mphutlane will oversee publicity and publications.
Other members of the committee are Mr Peiso Motsamai, Mr Kaibe Rapelang, and Mrs ’Mamavuso Patlotsa.
The election was attended by principals from across Berea, along with a delegation from the Lesotho Schools Principals Association (LESPA) executive.
