BOTHA-BOTHE FATHERS URGE PARENTS TO VACCINATE THEIR CHILDREN

Botha-Bothe, Oct. 14 — With some members of the public still sceptical about the Measles and Rubella (MR) vaccine, health officials in Botha-Bothe have launched a campaign to educate communities on the importance of vaccinating children and to dispel misinformation that circulated during the previous two campaigns.

During one of the first community gatherings held at Makopo, Ha Letšolo, residents expressed a renewed understanding of the value of vaccinating their children. This shift came after a presentation by Ms. Mathe Molapo from the Risk Communication and Stakeholders Engagement Team.

One community member, Mr. Bereng Mathafeng, said he was now convinced that vaccination is essential for protecting children’s health.

“I plead with all parents to take this opportunity seriously, as it has been clearly explained to us why vaccination is important. We have learned about the risks children face if they are not vaccinated, and I believe no parent would want their child to suffer from these preventable diseases,” he said…
