Maseru, Nov. 21 — Two prominent local chiefs have been elected to represent their fellow chiefs in the Maseru District Council.
Chief Molapo Motemekoane of Tlametlu under Mazenod Community Council A06 and Chief Bathobakae Maama of Boinyatso under Manonyane Community Council A04 emerged as the chosen representatives following a unanimous vote by all 20 chiefs at the District Council office on Tuesday.
The voting process commenced with the announcement of the nine chiefs nominated for the two positions in the District Council. Subsequently, the list gained approval from the attending chiefs, and the voting procedures were explained to them.
