CHIEFS ELECTED TO URBAN COUNCIL

Botha-Bothe, Sept. 18 — In anticipation of the forthcoming Local Government Elections, scheduled just two weeks from now, two prominent local chiefs have been elected to represent their fellow chiefs in the Botha-Bothe Urban Council.

Chief Mathealira Mopeli of Ha Mopeli and Chief Matumo Sechele of Lipelaneng, Ha Sechele, emerged as the chosen representatives following a unanimous vote by all five chiefs at the District Administrator’s office.

The voting process commenced with the announcement of the nine chiefs nominated for the two positions in the urban council. Subsequently, the list gained approval from the attending chiefs, and the voting procedures were explained to them.
