CHILDREN NEED CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT – KHANYAPA

Maseru, Feb.12 – It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to ensure that children are being brought to a safe and conducive environment, this was said by Inspector ‘Mathabo Khanyapa of Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) Thetsane Post.

The Inspector who works under the department of Child and Gender Protection Unit (CGPU) told the Agency conflicts within married couples leading to divorces are some of the core factors denying children their basic rights that include right to education among others.

“For example, parents quarrel and refuse to even pay school fees for the said children, thus depriving them of their rights while confusing their minds and souls”. She stressed. . .
