IEC DETERMINED TO MEET DEADLINE TO VACATE MGC PARK

Maseru, Feb 13 — The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is determined to meet the April 01 deadline of which the Commission should have vacated the current MGC Park premises to a new home.

IEC’s Civic and Voter Education Manager Mrs. Lydia Macheli told the Agency on Tuesday that in order to meet the set deadline of April 01 this year of which the Commission is supposed to have vacated the current MGC Park offices, the staff is slowly moving their stationary and furniture to its Warehouse in the industrial area.

Mrs. Macheli said the new building at Maseru West which is scheduled to be a new home for the Commission logistical arrangements are going on at a snail’s pace and that in the meantime IEC will be using its Warehouse. . .
