CHILDREN SHOULD BE AT SCHOOL-DA

Mokhotlong Aug. 18 — It is  more than ten years now that Lesotho government implemented a free and compulsory education yet there are still young boys who do not go to school as they are visible in the villages tending livestock.

Some boys between the ages of nine and 13 years old who are supposed to be enjoying their right to free primary education are herders instead of attending school.

In 2010, Lesotho government legalized primary education by making it free and compulsory but there are still parents and guardians who force children to look after livestock as if there is nothing wrong with depriving children their right to education.
