COMEDIANS TAKE CLIMATE AWARENESS TO THE STREETS OF QACHA’S NEK

Qacha’s Nek, Dec. 14 — Climate change is often seen as a serious and dry topic, but the World Food Programme (WFP) is changing that narrative in Lesotho.

As part of its Improving Adaptive Capacity of the Vulnerable and Food Insecure Populations in Lesotho (IACoV) project, WFP in collaboration with District Disaster Management Team (DDMT) launched a week-long campaign to raise climate change awareness in Qacha’s Nek.

However, this wasn’t just another dry lecture on climate change—it was a vibrant, engaging, and humorous experience.

Prominent comedians Thuso Dlamini, known as Mashoto, Keneuoe Matee, also known as Sir Matee, and Litaba Kotelo, aka ’Makhubelu, turned the spotlight on climate change through comedy.
