Qacha’s Nek, Oct. 9 — In a bold move to bolster public safety, the people of Qacha’s Nek have proposed an expansion of police resources, including more cars, horses, and even a helicopter, to tackle the district’s challenging mountainous terrain.
This initiative aims to ensure that law enforcement can effectively reach remote areas to safeguard the community.
The proposal emerged during a public consultation led by officials from the Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS) in Tsoelike, Ha Matlali on Wednesday.
These consultations are part of a nationwide effort to gather community input on policing strategies and priorities for the upcoming 2025/26 fiscal year strategic plan.
