COMMUNITY WANT PENSION REVIVAL

Mokhotlong, July. 02 – Some members of the society within Seate Council J01 in Mokhotlong want Old Age Pension (OAP) revival.

These are the views of some people gathered by the Agency during dispensation of Public Assistance (PA), Child Grant Programme (CGP), Disability Grant (DG) and Basic Strengthening Education Project (BESP) grants by the Ministry of Gender Youth and Social Development in the district on Monday.

In an interview, Mrs. ‘Mahlalele Sepeame (63)  of Ha Rammeleke explained that there is need for government to review OAP, indicating between the ages of 60 – 69, it becomes difficult for them to get employment as they are regarded old and yet still have to take care of their families.
