COMPOL INTERACTS WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES

Mohale’s Hoek, Sept. 20 — Commissioner of Police Adv. Matsoso Borotho has interacted with the local authorities, with the aim of gathering their views on the performance of Police officers, and how they would like to be policed.

Adv. Borotho stated that it is his responsibility to gather views regarding how communities would like to be policed, by engaging with them in public gatherings, and work jointly with the relevant Minister to discuss policing objectives.

He concluded by expressing his disappointment regarding officers who are tainting the image of the institution by accepting bribery, a point which was raised by the Chief of Reserve representation who noted he fell victim to the act.

On the other hand, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Paseka Mokete urged participants to be as truthful as possible when listing their concerns,  so that their views could assist in leading the police’s management to the right direction of fighting criminal activities.
