Maseru, Sept.07—-As Countries throughout the world today observe the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies on the theme: ”Invest in Clean Air Now”, they are encouraged to invest in clean air.
According to the United Nations (UN), collaboration across borders, sectors and silos can help reduce air pollution through collective investments of time, resources and efforts. It adds that it is through proactive addressing of air pollution that transformative change can be achieved and healthy air for all be secured.
The organisation says air pollution is the biggest environmental health risk of our time which worsens climate change and causes economic losses. It emphasises that everyone has the responsibility to protect the atmosphere and ensure the healthy air for everyone..
