COURT RESERVES JUDGEMENT 

Maseru, Oct.24— The Court of Appeal has on Tuesday reserved judgment until November 17 2023 in a case in which Kananelo Boloetse is challenging decision of the High Court sitting as the Constitutional Court in a case against reinstatement of 11th Amendment to the Constitution Bill of 2022 by the 11th Parliament. 

When arguing before the Court of Appeal, legal representative for the appellant Advocate Fusi Sehapi stated that resurrecting the Bill which collapsed when the 10th Parliament dissolved violates the Constitution. He added that it also compromises public participation. 

Legal representative for the respondents Adv. Thomas Thakalekoala argued that the conduct of the parliament is not in violation of the Constitution. He said section 81 of the Constitution gives the Parliament powers to regulate its processes.
