Qacha’s Nek,Sept.26–In an effort to promote climate change adaptation, the World Food Programme (WFP) through the project of Improving Adaptive Capacity of the Vulnerable and Food Insecure Populations in Lesotho (IACoV) has today assisted the District Disaster Management Team (DDMT) in development of District Action Plans aligned with the National Climate Change Communication Strategy (NCCCS).
NCCCS is a tool that was developed in 2021 with the aim of guiding the country’s efforts to communicate climate change information and ensure that people understand the information and are able to adapt and adopt behaviour that reduces their vulnerability to the effects.
