DMA URGES NATION TO STAY ALERT DUE TO SNOWFALL

Maseru, June.28 — With the prevailing weather conditions, the Disaster Management Authority (DMA) has urged the nation to stay alert and remain informed before accessing some roads especially in the highlands.

Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Wednesday, the Assistant Public Relations Officer for the Disaster Management Authority, Mrs. Mahlape Koali indicated that the office has already received a report that the ‘Moteng pass in the Botha-Bothe district is inaccessible due to snowfall.

She however urged motorist to avoid travelling at night as the cold frost can cause ice on the road which in turn can be slippery causing accidents….
