DPM REPRESENTS LESOTHO AT AFRICA BUSINESS SUMMIT

Maseru, June. 26 — The Deputy Prime Minister, Justice Nthomeng Majara represented Lesotho in four days 17th United States of America (US) -Africa Business Summit held in Luanda, Angola.

The meeting themed “Pathways to prosperity: A shared Vision for U.S. – Africa Partnership”. saw Lesotho being represented by the Deputy Prime Minister Justice Nthomeng Majara, Senior Government Officials, Lesotho National Development Cooperation (LNDC) Officials and  business people from Lesotho.

In her remarks Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the significance of a High Level and Level Dialogue of Financing the next Phase of Africa’s Health Infrastructure.

The objective of this year’s US – Africa Business Summit gathered together U.S. and African government and private sector leaders to deliberate on issues related to, enhancing trade and investment between the United States of America and African countries.

Moreover, it was also aimed at affording the African countries the platform to present various investment opportunities in their respective countries while also facilitating deeper engagement between the African countries and the U.S. businesses interested to source or invest in Africa.

Furthermore, the Summit was intended to build on the US- Africa Business Forum (USABF), which U.S. President Joe Biden hosted in Washington, DC, December 13-15, 2022 . . . .
