Maseru, Sept. 21 — The Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Lesotho to the African Union has announced that former Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Pakalitha Mosisili has been appointed by the African Union Commission to lead the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to the Republic of Seychelles in the upcoming general elections.
This is according to the Press release from the Ministry of foreign Affairs and International relations.
The press release further indicates that this appointment, made with the recommendation and support of the Government of Lesotho, highlights the AU’s trust in Lesotho’s seasoned statesmen and the Kingdom’s growing role in advancing democracy, governance, and integration across the continent.
